As a celebration of the Leyte Normal University Alumni Homecoming, the Normal Run was held at Leyte Normal University (LNU) on June 25, 2016.

Participated by pre-registered alumni, officers of the association, and students from LNU and ABE, the starting point was at the gate of Independencia Street, going to Real Street, to the EVRMC, and back to LNU where the finish line was also located.

Justifying why it was dubbed as Normal Run, Dr. Crisanto Daga, President of the LNU Alumni Association, shared that it has two operational meanings.

"An syahan, it depends upon the runner's perspective. An meaning han usa kay tungod nga na link han aton name of the university," Daga said.

An awarding ceremony was also held for the first three runners who completed the run.

Hubert Tolibas, a 4th year AB Political Science student won 1st place, Stuart Castillote from Basey Samar got the 2nd place and Alvin Plimaco got the 3rd place. Each received a certificate and a cash prize.

According to Tolibas, he joined the run as part of his training. When asked about how he feels upon getting the 1st place, Tolibas said, "Nagpapasalamat ako kan God kay syempre mayda ko na gihap baga hin panggasto yana para hit usa nga semana nga balon."

After the run, some MAPEH majors led an exercise participated by those who finished the run as a cooling down session.
