LNU Hosts Biggest Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Region VIII


Leyte Normal University hosted the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) on August 2 and 3, 2024. Various government agencies converge in the university to bring their services closer and more accessible to Filipinos in the region.

These services include education, health, katarungan caravan, livelihood and housing, regulatory function, social services, agriculture, Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), other government services, and food and water stations, among others.

During the event, beneficiaries received food supplies, educational, and livelihood assistance through the Cash Assistance and Rice Distribution (CARD) and the Start-up, Incentives, Business Opportunity, and Livelihood (SIBOL) programs. Additionally, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed food packs to the beneficiaries.

A Kadiwa Center was set up to market affordable food, while the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police, and Bureau of Fire Protection were present to ensure public safety and security.

The event, dubbed the biggest-ever BPSF held, distributed P1.26 billion cash assistance, government services, and other forms of assistance to over 253,000 beneficiaries in Eastern Visayas.
