Leyte Normal University Students Home Global Leadership Skills at 9th AUAP Global Leadership Program in Thailand

Leyte Normal University (LNU) students made significant strides at the 9th Global Leadership Program, hosted by the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in collaboration with The Master’s Institute Development Academy & Seminary (MIDAS) from August 11 to 15, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Representing LNU were Genesis Domingo and Katrina Uy from the Bachelor of Special Needs Education, and Kayla Adrienne Cahingcoy from the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, accompanied by Professor Ariel Salarda, Director for Student Organizations and Activities. These students were selected from AUAP member and non-member institutions to participate in a week-long intensive program themed “Rethink, Relearn, Reskill.”

Throughout the program, participants explored a diverse range of topics essential for leadership in today’s global context. Discussions covered innovative skills, entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, career development, cultural diversity, and intercultural communication.
